  1. Copyright: The copyright for each article published in the Journal of Sociolegal and Islamic Law is retained by the author(s). However, the author(s) grant the journal the right of first publication. The author(s) also agree that their article will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
  2. License and Usage: Under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, readers and users are allowed to copy, distribute, and transmit the published articles as long as they are not used for commercial purposes and proper attribution is given to the original author(s). Users may also adapt or modify the work as long as any derivative works are also licensed for non-commercial purposes.
