Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual dan Transgender (LGBT) dalam Perspektif Maqashid Syariah

Fenomena lesbian, gay, biseksual, dan transgender (LGBT) masih menimbulkan pro dan konta di kalangan masyarakat. Kelompok pro terhadap gagasan tersebut berlindung di balik prinsip-prinsip Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM). Sementara kelompok kontra cenderung normatif dan menggunakan landasan hukum Islam dalam memandang permasalahan LGBT. Dua arus besar kelompok ini, tidak kunjung menemukan titik temu dalam mendudukkan isu LGBT. Oleh karenanya, melalui penelitian ini peneliti fokus pada perspektif maqashid syariah yang dinilai dapat menjadi jalan tengah perdebatan dua kelompok tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan normatif dan berjenis library research. Rujukan utama dalam penelitian ini yakni berbagai buku bertema LGBT dan maqashid syariah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurut gagasan maqashid syariah, LGBT sebagai tren gaya hidup tidak sejalan dengan tujuan agama, yakni pemeliharaan keturunan (hifdzul al-Nasl). Hal ini mengingat dampak daripada budaya LGBT yang menikah dan atau berhubungan sesama jenis tidak dapat melahirkan keturunan secara alamiah. Selain itu, muara daripada pemeliharaan keturunan yang bertujuan untuk merawat peradaban umat manusia juga bertentangan dengan konsep LGBT.
