SUSTAINABLE: Jurnal Akuntansi was first published in 2021, with two issues released annually in May and November. The journal was published in both print and online formats, with p-ISSN 2808-3482 and e-ISSN 2807-7318, respectively.

SUSTAINABLE: Jurnal Akuntansi became available on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya, beginning with Volume 1, Issue 1, published in May 2021, using OJS Version 2.

October 2021

SUSTAINABLE: Jurnal Akuntansi was assigned electronic ISSN (e-ISSN) 2807-731X.

September 2023

The journal management system of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya migrated from Open Journal Systems (OJS) Version 2 to Version 3 to improve system security and performance.

March 2025

SUSTAINABLE: Jurnal Akuntansi was accredited at SINTA 4, in accordance with the Decree of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Number 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025.

September 2026

The journal introduced a new policy requiring authors to submit an ethical clearance declaration and comply with the journal's AI Policy.
