PENGARUH PENDEKATAN PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: pengaruh pendekatan problem solving terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Satu kelas eksperimen yaitu SDN Rejondani dengan pendekatan problem solving dan satu kelas kontrol yang tidak diberikan perlakuan yaitu SDN Potrojayan II. Empat tahapan yang dilaksanakan dalam pendekatan problem solving yaitu memahami masalah (understand), menentukan solusi (plan), menerapkan solusi (solve), dan memeriksa kembali (check). Prestasi belajar diukur menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal isian singkat. Terdapat empat belas soal isian singkat untuk pre-test maupun post-test berdasarkan indikator pembelajaran turunan dari kurikulum yang berlaku. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa problem solving memberikan pengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Uji anova kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji post-Hoc menggunakan Uji Bonferroni dengan hasil 0,000 yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rerata antara kelompok kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Perbedaan ini menjadi dasar bahwa problem solving memberikan pengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar kelas V Sekolah Dasar.
