Abstract

This study aims to analyze the rubber price policy applied in Ciptodadi Village, Sukakarya District, Musi Rawas Regency, through the lens of Islamic economics. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through interviews, direct observation, and document analysis involving farmers, collectors, and other relevant stakeholders. The gathered data were then processed to describe the actual mechanism of rubber price determination in the field. The findings reveal that the current rubber pricing system does not fully reflect the principles of Islamic economics, as the selling price received by farmers remains relatively low and disproportionate to their production costs. The lack of market transparency and the limited role of the government in monitoring have also resulted in the principles of justice and public welfare not being optimally realized. Therefore, this study proposes the implementation of a fair, transparent, and Islamic value–based pricing policy as an effort to improve the living standards and welfare of rubber farmers in Ciptodadi Village.
