Development of a 9E Learning Cycle-Based Immune System Learning Module to Support Biology Learning for Grade XI Students

This study aimed to develop a learning module based on the Learning Cycle 9E for the Immune System topic in Grade XI and to determine the validity and practicality of the developed product. The study was motivated by the limited teaching materials used in Biology learning at SMAN 1 Batusangkar, indicating the need for systematic teaching materials that support student engagement. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4-D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate), which was implemented up to the develop stage. The define stage included needs, student, and literature analysis; the design stage involved module development; and the develop stage consisted of validation, revision, and practicality testing. Validation was conducted by three validators, while the practicality test involved 35 students of Grade XI F.4. The results showed that the module achieved a validity percentage of 87%, categorized as very valid, and a practicality percentage of 87%, categorized as very practical. The novelty of the product lies in the systematic integration of the nine Learning Cycle 9E phases into an Immune System module for Grade XI. Therefore, the developed module is considered feasible as supporting teaching material for Biology learning
