Understanding Cybercrime And Cases That Occur In Indonesia
Abstract
The dissemination of information today is very easy to circulate due to the existence of technology and the internet. Variousproblems arise due to the misuse of these technologies, such as cybercrime and the spread of hoax news. Information control is essential to evaluate the credibility of information as well as its umber. This research mentions how to overcome cybercrime and hoaxes through the selection of appropriate information. However, research shows that cybercrime and the spread of hoax information still occur even today. there are 3 threats of the ITE Law in Indonesia that have the potential to hit cybercrime perpetrators by utilizing social media namely the threat of violation of decency article 27 paragraph (1), humiliation or defamation of article 27 paragraph (3), and the spread of hatred based on ethnicity, religion, race and inter-group (SARA) article 28 paragraph (2). Efforts to prevent cybercime can be done using how to protect the computer from viruses, maintain privacy, secure e-mail, protect Id / Account, generate data backups, and always be up to date with news. There are several factors that must be considered in selecting the origin of news from the internet in order to avoid the dangers of cybercrime, namely, relevance, accuracy, reputation authority, objectivity, currentness, coverage and strong evidence.
