Hubungan Tingkat Kecerdasan Emosional Dengan Perilaku Caring Perawat Dalam Merawat Pasien Di Rumah Sakit

Background: Kualitas pelayanan keperawatan sering dikaitkan dengan rendahnya perilaku caring perawat, hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh kurangnya empati, rendahnya komunikasi terapeutik, dan kurangnya kehadiran emosional perawat dalam memberikan asuhan. Salah satu faktor yang diyakini berpengaruh terhadap perilaku caring adalah kecerdasan emosional. Kecerdasan emosional diyakini berperan penting dalam membantu perawat memahami, merespons, dan membangun hubungan interpersonal dengan pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat kecerdasan emosional dengan perilaku caring perawat dalam merawat pasien di RS Anugerah Bunda Khatulistiwa Pontianak. Methods: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh perawat rawat inap yang berjumlah 64 orang, dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari Schutte Self Report Emotional Intelligence Test (SREIT)untuk mengukur kecerdasan emosional, serta Caring Behaviors Inventory-24 (CBI-24) untuk mengukur perilaku caring perawat. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman’s RankResult: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hampir separuh responden dengan kecerdasan emosional tinggi memiliki perilaku caring yang baik (28,1%), begitu pula sebaliknya. Analisis lebih lanjut menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan perilaku caring perawat dengan nilai p = 0,003 (<0,05) dan koefisien korelasi r = 0,367. Nilai tersebut menunjukkan korelasi pada kategori rendah dengan arah positif, yang berarti semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosional perawat, maka semakin baik pula perilaku caring perawat dalam merawat pasien. Conclusion: Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan kecerdasan emosional sebagai salah satu upaya peningkatan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan.
