Perawat dikenal sebagai pemimpin dalam profesi yang penuh kasih sayang yang selalu terlibat dalam setiap situasi krisis dan darurat. Perawat sering kali harus menjadi pemimpin tanpa pendidikan formal sebagai pemimpin. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kepemimpinan dalam keperawatan bencana sebagai tantangan saat ini dan di masa depan. Sebagai pemimpin, perawat harus memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan tertentu dalam pengambilan keputusan, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi untuk mengelola peristiwa bencana. Perawat harus memiliki sifat dan karakteristik tertentu untuk mengelola kehadiran dan pengaruhnya sebagai pemimpin, serta kemampuan untuk memahami gaya kepemimpinan yang tepat sesuai dengan situasi krisis. Menghubungkan persyaratan kepemimpinan dalam keperawatan bencana dengan kurikulum standar kepemimpinan dalam keperawatan bencana merupakan rekomendasi masa depan bagi para akademisi keperawatan.
