Gambaran Sosial Ekonomi Pada Keluarga Dengan Penyakit Kronis

Abstrak

Penyakit adalah sumber stres yang hebat dan melibatkan seluruh keluarga, bukan hanya pada individu sakit. Beban penyakit kronis kemungkinan berdampak pada kondisi psikososial dan finansial keluarga baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak psikososial dan ekonomi pada keluarga dengan penyakit kronis.  Penelitian merupakan penelitian deskriptif-observatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 120 orang yang dipilih melalui pendekatan screened sampling. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 51,7% responden merasakan penurunan penghasilan akibat kondisi penyakit kronis dan meminjam uang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan. Sementara dampak psikososial yang paling dirasakan adalah berkurangnya partisipasi dalam kegiatan  sosial (60%) dan perubahan pola komunikasi dalam keluarga (55%), namun   mayoritas responden juga merasakan peningkatan  kedekatan antar anggota keluarga  karena proses perawatan yang diberikan (75%). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah kondisi sosial ekonomi keluarga dapat berubah akibat adanya anggota keluarga yang mengalami penyakit kronis, oleh karena itu perawat  memiliki peran penting dalam memberikan dukungan kepada pasien dan juga keluarga untuk  beradaptasi  pada kondisi  tersebut.
