Abstrak
Aspirasi jarum halus (AJH) merupakan langkah diagnostik berupa prosedur pengambilan sampel dari sel tubuh dengan jarum untuk pemeriksaan laboratorium. AJH dapat membantu proses diagnosis suatu penyakit, menyingkirkan kemungkinan suatu penyakit, dan menilai perkembangan penyakit dalam proses pengobatan. Tehnik pemeriksaan AJH cukup aman, murah, dapat dipercaya dan resiko komplikasi kecil, dengan catatan harus dilakukan oleh operator dan dinilai oleh ahli sitologi yang berpengalaman. Pemeriksaan AJH dapat dilakukan pada pasien rawat jalan dengan resiko yang sangat kecil. Kucala Medical Center (KMC) memberikan pelayanan konsultasi dan deteksi dini keganasan pada wanita, akan tetapi kemampuan tenaga medis melakukan prosedur AJH belum standar untuk semua tenaga medis. Pelatihan prosedur pemeriksaan AJH diharapkan dapat meningkatkan layanan KMC dengan cara 1. Focus group discussion indikasi dan prosedur pemeriksaan AJH dengan dokter ahli Patologi Anatomi dan pembuatan standar operating procedure (SOP) 2. Hands on teknik pengambilan Aspirasi Jarum Halus sesuai dengan prosedur 3. Hands on pembuatan apusan dan pengiriman sampel AJH. Luaran yang dihasilkan pada program pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dokter KMC dalam prosedur pemeriksaan AJH dan video prosedur untuk sarana pembelajaran dan promosi.
