Abstrak
Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) menempati urutan tertinggi penyakit yang diderita oleh lansia. Aktifitas fisik seperti salat dhuha dapat mencegah prevalensi CVD pada lansia. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi dan intervensi salat dhuha sebagai upaya memperbaiki tekanan darah pada lansia di UPT. Bina Lansia Binjai. Metode yang dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi mengenai pentingnya aktivitas fisik dan salat dhuha untuk mencegah kejadian CVD pada lansia, melakukan pemeriksaan riwayat penyakit/masalah kesehatan lansia, melakukan pemeriksaan obyektif fungsi jantung lansia sebelum salat dhuha, mengkoordinir pelaksanaan salat dhuha berjamaah selama 6 pekan oleh lansia, melakukan pemeriksaan obyektif fungsi jantung setelah salat dhuha di pekan ke enam. Peserta lansia yang diberikan edukasi sebanyak 35 peserta. Terlaksananya edukasi mengenai pentingnya aktivitas fisik dan salat dhuha untuk mencegah kejadian CVD pada lansia, telah dilakukan pemeriksaan riwayat penyakit/masalah kesehatan lansia, telah dilakukan pemeriksaan obyektif fungsi jantung lansia sebelum salat dhuha, telah dilakukan koordinasi pelaksanaan salat dhuha berjamaah selama 6 pekan oleh lansia, telah dilakukan pemeriksaan obyektif fungsi jantung setelah salat dhuha di pekan ke enam. Luaran yang dicapai berupa satu video edukasi salat dhuha yang memberikan narasi dan contoh gerakan dan bacaan secara lengkap mulai dari berniat hingga salam. Relawan telah dapat melaksanakan salat dhuha secara baik dan benar, serta tekanan darah sistolik maupun diastolik relawan semakin membaik.
