Abstrak

Upaya pemberdayaan nelayan memerlukan peningkatan kapasitas kelembagaan nelayan. Pelatihan dapat menjadi salah satu upaya peningkatan kapasitas kelembagaan nelayan. Oleh karenanya kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan peningkatan kapasitas nelayan untuk pemberdayaan nelayan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan mengacu pada hasil penelitian Peningkatan Kapasitas Kelembagaan Nelayan untuk Adaptasi Terhadap Perubahan Iklim yang dilaksanakan di komunitas nelayan Pelabuhanratu pada tahun 2018-2021. Pelatihan dilakukan untuk 20 nelayan di Kecamatan Pelabuhanratu, Kabupaten Sukabumi. Pemilihan peserta dan mitra penyelenggaraan pelatihan mengacu pada nelayan mitra penelitian pendahuluan. Rancangan pencapaian tujuan pelatihan disusun dalam beberapa tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil pelaksanaan pelatihan menunjukkan terdapat perubahan di ranah pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan. Perubahan di ranah keterampilan dan sikap lebih nyata daripada perubahan di ranah pengetahuan. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pelatihan menunjukkan pelatihan dapat berhasil jika didukung oleh perencanaan yang baik mengacu pada hasil penelitian yang memadai, penggunaan beragam metode penyampaian materi dan teknik advokasi dalam pelatihan. Keberhasilan pelaksanaan pelatihan ditunjang oleh pengenalan yang baik dari penyelenggara terhadap konteks masyarakat peserta pelatihan.
