Tanggung Jawab Sosial Bisnis dalam Perspektif Islam Terhadap Pelaku Bisnis dan Lingkungan Alam

Abstract

This article examines Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from an Islamic perspective through two integrated dimensions: responsibility toward business stakeholders and environmental sustainability. Amid the dominance of conventional CSR concepts, this study seeks to address a research gap concerning the limited literature that comprehensively integrates Islamic theological values with the contemporary trends of Sharia-based Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainable financial instruments in Indonesia. The novelty of this research lies in synthesizing the Islamic values of tawhid (the oneness of God), amanah (trustworthiness), and khalifah (stewardship), positioning them not merely as ethical principles but as a comprehensive framework for sustainable business management capable of addressing the global ecological crisis. Employing a literature review method with an analysis of contemporary scholarly works, the findings indicate that Islam provides a holistic business model that harmonizes profitability with spiritual responsibility. The primary contribution of this article is to provide a theoretical foundation for developing measurable Sharia-based CSR standards while offering practical solutions through instruments such as green sukuk to achieve a balance between social welfare and ecological sustainability in the modern business environment.
