Istilah digitalisasi muncul ke permukaan ketika teknologi mulai berkembang dan dengan didukung oleh unsur-unsur ini yakni adanya jaringan (internet) kemudian ada aplikasi yang digunakan dan didukung dengan pengguna, terkadang pengguna jaringan terlena oleh dunia maya ini. Sehingga dia merasa bebas dan menjadi berekspresi hingga tak jarang Ia orang lain selain dirinya di dunia nyata. Sebuah survei menyatakan pengguna media sosial terbanyak di dunia di antaranya ialah negara Indonesia. Citra sopan di dunia nyata namun terkadang barbanding sebaliknya di dunia maya (medsos). Dengan demikian tantangan dalam berdakwah juga semakin bertambah yang awalnya sebatas sosial kultural, politik, dan kemudian ditambah dengan morality error di medsos. Adapun penelitian ini guna mengkaji sekaligus mencari sebuah kesimpulan mengenai peran digitalisasi dakwah itu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis pustaka. Berdakwah merupakan sebuah keharusan yang bisa dilakukan siapa saja namun dalam melakukan kewajiban tersebut, beberapa hal haruslah terpenuhi seperti pengetahuan, baik itu pengetahuan ilmu agama maupun ilmiah serta karakter individu yang menjadi sasaran dakwah. Juga perlunya menyiapkan kader literasi media. Kerangka tersebut dapat dicetak melalui kerjasama Majelis Pendidikan Kader dan Majelis Pustaka Informasi.
