Persepsi Masyarakat terhadap Pendidikan Agama Islam

Abstrak
Kebanyakan persepsi masyarakat yang tidak tepat, dengan menstigma pendidikan agama Islam sebagai sebuah lembaga yang tertinggal, amburadul, tidak tertib, dan jorok. Hal itu dikarenakan mereka melihat pendidikan agama Islam pada masa lalu sekitar sebelum tahun 80-an. Persepsi masyarakat itu juga dipicu oleh kurangnya informasi perkembangan kemajuan pendidikan agama Islam saat ini. Hal itu disebabkan kurangnya publikasi perkembangan dan kemajuan serta hasil lulusan yang semakin prospektif. Para lulusan bukan hanya mampu berkiprah pada bidang agama tetapi juga mampu berkiprah pada bidang-bidang lain pada umumnya. Lebih dari itu para alumni pendidikan agama Islam bahkan mampu berperan pada level-level direktur, pimpinan perusahaan, kepala departemen dan birokrasi, serta mampu bersaing pada persingan masuk perguruan tinggi favorit dalam dan luar negeri.
