Menghafal Al-Quran merupakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang masih asing
untuk diterapkan didalam kurikulum umum lembaga pendidikan islam di
Indonesia, kalaupun ada penerapan hanya terbatas pada sekolah-sekolah yang
berbasis pesantren. SMP Luqman Al Hakim sebagai sekolah yang berbasis
Pesantren menerapkan kurikulum wajib menghafal Al-Qur‟an bagi siswanya
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan
proses Implementasi Pembelajaran Tahfidz Al-Qur‟an di SMP Luqman Al Hakim,
serta mnedeskripsikan tentang materi, metode, dan evaluasinya.
