PERANCANGAN PUSAT PENDIDIKAN DAN PENGEMBANGAN MUSIK DI SURABAYA DENGAN PENDEKATAN FOLDING ARCHITECTURE

Music is an important and inseparable part of everyday human life because it is useful as a means of entertainment and relaxation. As in many other places, the enthusiasm of people in Surabaya for music is quite large. It can be seen from the frequent concerts and musical performances held in this city, as well as the many places for music education and courses. On the other hand, Surabaya does not yet have a complete and large-scale music education center. The design of the Center for Music Education and Development is expected to answer these problems. The concept used is a folding architecture characterized by continuity, overlapping, and connectivity. The application is through a process from paper media which is developed to digital media to find out the mass or form of illustration and is developed into the form of the design building to be designed. The basic method of these three parameters has a role in developing the shape of the building, the method is the formation of paper as a dissolving medium, namely cut, fold, unfold, pull up, pull down, score. The emphasis is on the implementation of building construction which will realize the three main element parameters in the folding architecture approach to the design of the Center for Music Education and Development in Surabaya.

Abstrak

 

Musik adalah salah saatu bagian yang penting dan tak terpisahkan dari kehidupan manusia sehari-hari karena bermanfaat sebagai sarana hiburan dan relaksasi. Seperti di banyak tempat lainnya, antusiasme masyarakat Surabaya terhadap musik cukup besar. Ini terlihat dari seringnya konser dan pertunjukan musik diselenggarakan di kota ini, serta banyaknya tempat pendidikan dan kursus musik. Namun sisi lain kota Surabaya belum memiliki tempat pendidikan musik yang lengkap dan berskala besar. Rancangan Pusat Pendidikan dan Pengembangan Musik ini diharapkan dapat menjawab masalah tersebut. Konsep yang digunakan adalah folding architecture yang bercirikan continuity, overlaping, dan conectivity. Penerapan tersebut memalui proses dari media kertas yang dikembangkan ke media digital untuk mengetahui massa atau bentuk ilustrasi dan dikembangkan ke bentuk bangunan perancangan yang akan dirancang. Metode dasar dari tiga parameter tersebut mempunyai peran dalam mengembangkan bentuk bangunan, metode tersbut adalah pembentukan dari kertas sebagai media pencarain yaitu cut, fold, unfold, pull up, pull down, score. Penekanan tersebut merupakan implementasi pembentukan bangunan yang dimana akan mewujudkan tiga parameter unsur utama pada pendekatan folding architecture terhadap rancangan Pusat Pendidikan dan Pengembangan Musik di Surabaya.
