Pengaruh Strategi Writing in the Here and Now terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Puisi Kelas X

ABSTRAK


Ketertarikan siswa ketika mengikuti pembelajaran menulis di sekolah masih rendah sebab tidak adanya strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan guru ketika pembelajaran menulis berlangsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi Writing in the Here and Now terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi bagi siswa kelas X SMKN 1 Karawang. Dua sampel yang digunakan, yaitu kelas eksperimen (X TP 3) dan kelas kontrol (X TPFL 2). Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Pemberian tes dilakukan dua kali, yaitu pretest dan posttest. Data yang didapat kemudian diolah menggunakan aplikasi SPSS Statistik Versi 27 menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen dan kontrol memiliki hasil belajar yang berbeda. Rata-rata di kelas eksperimen sebesar 79,11 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 63,08. Berdasarkan rata-rata tersebut, dapat disimpulkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar secara signifikan pada kelas eksperimen sehingga guru dapat menerapkan strategi Writing in the Here and Now dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi di sekolah.

ABSTRACT


Students' interest in participating in writing learning at school is still low because there is no learning strategy which is  applied by teachers when writing learning takes place. This study aims to determine the effect of the Writing In The Here And Now strategy on poetry writing skills for grade X students of SMKN 1 Karawang. Two samples were used, namely the experimental class (X TP 3) and the control class (X TPFL 2). Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, and tests. The test was given twice, namely pretest and posttest. The data obtained were then processed using the SPSS Statistics Version 27 application showing that the experimental and control classes had different learning outcomes. The average in the experimental class was 79.11, and the control class was 63.08. Based on these averages, it can be concluded that there was a significant increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class so that teachers can apply the Writing In The Here And Now strategy in poetry writing learning at school.
