Mengeksplorasi Kepentingan dan Keberadaan Maqasid Al-Syariah dalam Produk dan Layanan Perbankan Syariah Kontemporer

Abstrak
Maqasid Al-Syariah sangat penting dalam mengembangkan kapasitas umat untuk melakukan reformasi intelektual dan pembaharuan peradaban. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pentingnya dan kehadiran Maqasid Al-Shariah dalam produk dan layanan perbankan syariah kontemporer. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis kajian literatur, penelitian ini menilai sejauh mana prinsip-prinsip Maqasid Al-Syariah diterapkan dalam desain dan implementasi produk perbankan syariah. Fokus utama adalah mengidentifikasi keselarasan antara tujuan syariah, seperti pelestarian iman, kehidupan, kecerdasan, keturunan, dan kekayaan, dengan praktik perbankan syariah dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sosial-ekonomi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat kemajuan dalam kepatuhan syariah formal, terdapat ruang untuk perbaikan dalam memastikan bahwa produk perbankan juga mendukung tujuan etika dan sosial syariah. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan produk perbankan syariah yang tidak hanya patuh secara hukum, tetapi juga berorientasi pada kesejahteraan holistik masyarakat.

Abstract
Maqasid Al-Syariah is essential in developing the capacity of the ummah to undertake intellectual reform and civilisational renewal. This study aims to explore the importance and presence of Maqasid Al-Shariah in contemporary Islamic banking products and services. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review, the research assesses the extent to which Maqasid Al-Shariah principles are applied in the design and implementation of Islamic banking products. The primary focus is on identifying the alignment between Shariah objectives, such as the preservation of faith, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth, with Islamic banking practices in addressing socio-economic needs. The findings indicate that while there has been progress in formal Shariah compliance, there remains room for improvement to ensure that banking products also uphold Shariah's ethical and social objectives. This study is expected to contribute to the development of Islamic banking products that not only comply with legal standards but also prioritize the holistic well-being of society.
