NARASI VISUAL INFOGRAFIS SEBAGAI MEDIA LITERASI KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT
Keywords:
Visual Narrative, Infographic, Health LiteracyAbstract
This study aims to analyze how visual infographic narratives function as an effective medium for health literacy, enhancing public awareness, understanding, and participation in health-related issues. Employing a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design (Creswell, 2022), the research explores the subjective experiences of communities in interpreting visual-based health messages. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and visual documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of (Miles, M. B., Huberman, A. M., & Saldaña, 2019), involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that culturally contextualized infographics effectively foster empathetic and participatory health communication. Visual elements such as color, typography, and symbolism significantly shape public perception and drive collective behavioral change. Visual narratives function not merely as information carriers but as dialogic spaces that strengthen community-based health literacy and awareness. This study contributes to the achievement of SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting inclusive, contextual, and sustainable access to health information.
