Kearifan Lokal Pepaya: Tinjauan Aktivitas Farmakologi
Abstrak
Pepaya (Carica papaya L.) merupakan tanaman dengan aktivitas farmakologis luas yang didukung oleh berbagai penelitian in vitro, in vivo, dan studi klinis. Tujuan dari review literatur ini adalah mengetahui kandungan senyawa aktif yang terdapat dalam bagian tumbuhan dan aktivitas farmakologi dari Carica papaya L. Review terhadap studi tentang kandungan senyawa aktif dan aktivitas farmakologi Carica papaya L. dilakukan dengan cara penelusuran pustaka yang dapat diakses pada situs penyedia jurnal terpercaya dan dilanjutkan dengan memilih 10 tahun terakhir. Sehingga, diketahui bahwa tanaman pepaya memiliki bermacam-macam kandungan senyawa aktif yaitu termasuk daun, biji, buah, dan getah, mengandung senyawa bioaktif seperti flavonoid, fenolik, alkaloid, karotenoid, vitamin C dan enzim proteolitik yang berperan dalam aktivitas terapetiknya. yang memiliki aktivitas farmakologi seperti antidiabetes, antioksidan, antiinflamasi, analgesik, dan antiparasit/antihelmentik.
