Literature Review The Effect Yoga Exercise Of Decrease Blood Pressure With Hypertension

Abstrak

Introduction: Hypertension contributed to mortality rate to be caused by contagious disease, such as stroke and coronary cardiac. The one of complementary therapy which it influences to decrease blood pressure with yoga exercise. It is more effective for decrease blood pressure, especially for hypertension. Method: The samples used in this study are 30-55 respondents. There are four journal make use of quasi experiment method and the one journal make use of Randomized Control Trial (RCT). Two journals were used samples of the group pre-test and post-test and three journals apply to two groups of pre-test and post-test. There are four journals make an effects of yoga on hypertension. The average drop in systolic  is 32.4 mmHg and diastolic is 13.38 mmHg (p <0.05). There is a significant effect between blood pressure before and after yoga exercises for sixth days with routinely. The results of the study have a significant decrease systole, diastole, and heart rate among respondents who practiced yoga (P <0.001) as compared with a result from pretest and post test with performed yoga exercises at weeks of 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8 th. The significant reduction in Basal Metabolic Index (BMI) is occurred at weeks 6th and 8th (P < 0.05). The average of heart rate, systolic  and diastolic decreased significantly after the practice of yoga for eight months and the average result of BMI decreased significantly after practice yoga at weeks 6th and 8th. Result: The results showed that yoga exercises  regularly and routinely, it can lower blood pressure significantly in patients with hypertension. One of journal that others know the results of research on the effects of yoga on arterial blood pressure and cardiovascular response and the effects of yoga on arterial compliance and muscle strength in pre-menopausal women, with the result that yoga can activate the cardiovascular response and increase muscle strength in pre-menopausal women. Based on some of these results we can conclude that yoga exercise was Conclusion: routinely and regularly proven to significantly affect the reduction of blood pressure in patients with hypertension.
