On behalf of the committe, it is very special honour to be your host here at the 1^th International Nursing workshop and Conference of Faculty of Health Sciences, UniversitasMuhammadiyahSurabayaand to welcome you to this conference by theme “Professional Nursing Practice In Free Trade Era: Threat & Challengeâ€.

Through this conference we hope there is transfer knowledge, sharing ideas so thatnursing profession can response the change of global needs across health system and can enhance nursing competencies in the international sphere.

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to express our sincere apprecation for your interest you have shown and thank you for coming here from near and far to take part in our scholarly event over two days. Hope that it will be an interesting and learning experience for all of you and welcome to Surabaya, Indonesia.

Ladies and gentlemen,

This conference brings together academics, practitioner more than350 participants from different provinces in Indonesia. So, I am sure this conference will make an important contribution toward bringing home the idea of the commons to more people and lending it more weight! I hope you will contribute your perspective and your rich exprience towards nursing. I hope we will all demonstrate our creativity- but at the same time have fun, and show the courage to develop innovative nursing ideas!
